Paws For Life Animal League is a Non-Profit 501(c)(3) Organization devoted to the welfare of companion animals. Our organization has several goals; first, to maintain the Animal Adoption Center for Riverton and make every attempt to find a home for each adoptable animal while maintaining their health and ensuring their sterility. We encourage and educate the citizens of Riverton to become responsible pet owners, and plan to help Riverton develop and implement more animal friendly laws and ordinances.

In order to adopt from us, you must first fill out an application and be "approved". You will find the link for the applications; one for dogs and one for cats. Once you submit your application we will contact your vet for a reference and contact your personal references. In some instances, we may require a home visit to ensure the accuracy of your application. If your application is not approved, we reserve the right to keep confidential the information gathered and used in making our decision.

Our preference is that all dogs go to a home with a fenced yard as it is our belief dogs are more safe in an enclosed area. However, we will make exceptions to this rule on a case by case basis. If you live in an apartment you must have permission from your landlord to have a pet and we will verify that. Our goal is that each and every person adopting a pet from us is adopting A FRIEND FOR LIFE and we expect a commitment from you to do the best job you can to keep the pet you are adopting.

ALL of our cats and dogs WILL BE SPAYED AND NEUTERED BEFORE being adopted. We will not allow them to be adopted "in tact" so please do not ask.
